20th Anniversary for the Point Pleasant Library
Time flies and this year is the Point Pleasant Boro Library's 20th Anniversary. Join us for 4 fun-filled hours on Saturday, August 8, 2009. There will be lots of refreshments and live music by a local band, The Irie Sound. The celebration will be both inside and out of the library - rain or shine.
Activities include (but not limited to) a watermelon seed spitting contest, a water balloon toss, face painting, fear factor type games, 3-legged races, displays of materials created by local residents during the Library's 2009 Summer Reading program, and exhibits of prize-winning entries by local residents.
To enter the contests, which include the largest zucchini, best pie, cutest stuffed animal, best small flower display and much more, participants must follow certain criteria. Please stop in at the Library, 834 Beaver Dam Road, to get an outline of these exhibition rules. All entries must be received by 4 pm, Friday, August 7. This event is free.
Library Will Be Open For Regular Business 10am - 5pm

Fear Factor Game - 3:00pm for all ages - last one down wins!

a. Entries must be dropped off @ Library between 10 am & 7 pm, Fri., 8/7
Entry tags available @ Library during drop-off times
b. All entries are divided by creators’ age groups (Children up to age 12;
Teens ages 13 - 17; Adults ages 18 & up)
c. All entries remain exhibited until 4 pm. All entries must be picked up by
8 pm Mon., 8/10. Perishables will be discarded after 5 pm, Sat., 8/8.
d. After judging, pictures will be taken of each Baked Goods entry. Those
items will then be on sale during the Fair - proceeds go to the Friends of the Library who help support Library programs
e. Only one entry per section accepted from each individual
